Thumbs down max lvl should be much higher, also you need to add alot to the pvp.

im speaking in the name of many players, friends of mine who have GW, and of course i think the same as well.

we think that the current max lvl (20) makes the game short, very short and boring after 1 month. as everybody know, GW is actually a 1 month game. getting the highest lvl whithin 2 weeks or so, beat the missions in 3 to 4 weeks, and then u finish...

and after that you have nothing but nothing to do.

the pvp is boring, nowdays, getting from rank 1 to 3 is impossible. and if u are rank 3 u need to work ALOT for getting ranks (and belive me that the tombs are boring after a while).
the 4v4 is a joke. kill some, lose some, get more factions, unlock skills. what did we get? bordom.
in many other games, the pvp is the main thing, which makes the game so fun to play, and all the players have a target of being the strongest and try to do as largest effect as they can do in pvp events (and not in an "all time" pvp "events" which are meaningless). in GW it is not exist. i know about the "we want people to be equal" but that draws the game backwards and limiting its potential! you already have the armor sets for equality. cheap in droks and extreamly expensive in fow... but they all have the same defence.

i'll go straightforward now:
the max lvl (20) is a joke. it makes u leave the game after a few weeks because you have no more challenge.

the pvp is boring. i would guess that the only people who like it, are those who play 25/8 a "week", rank 9 and well... the "best"
the 4v4 is lame.
the overall of pvp is limited and not fun.

take many other games for example:
Knight Online
Lineage
MU
Rose Online
World of Warcraft
even RuneScape!
and more...
all those games have challenging and exciting pvp, and that what makes people play them for a LONG time.

my suggestion?:
1: raise highest lvl to 80-100
2: make nations
3: unlimited attribute points
4: wars between nations
5: i guess you can think of alot more.

if Guild Wars wont change i will see it as a boring game after all...
sure i will play a bit, but nothing will make me to stay for long.
The great 2nd chapter of GW coming soon? so i'll play for 1 more month...
if you do it that the only interest in playing is to be better for the next upgrade then the game will eventually die

Free hints for you:
1) Don't get run.
2) Don't use walkthroughs and maps.
3) Don't enlist the help of level 20 players to twink you and get you through the missions and tell you exactly what to do and when.

If you had done that, the PvE wouldn't have been over in a month, you'd not be bored now, and you wouldn't be posting rubbish in GWGuru.

Ehh, don't bother even asking about getting higher levels, because they've already thought about, and responded to that idea, QUOTE from:

http://guildwars.net/aboutgw/faq/gui...ctions-faq.php

"Will the Character Level ceiling of 20 be lifted?"

"No, the maximum character level will remain at 20. The level cap of 20 is a fundamental balance mechanism for Guild Wars, a game that revolves around player skill. The leveling system allows you to track your progress as you start a character. But by Level 20, your character is fully trained and is ready to experience the most exciting content in the game."

So you see, no way, no how lol. Besides, if there were higher levels, with the current exp. gain when FIRST starting out, it would take quite awhile to level to level 100 yes, and MAYBE make a challenge, BUT, then, it would be the same..dare I say? Fame/Rank, where you'd have people saying things like.. "LAWL nub level 15, I PWN joo with my 96!" ehh..you get the picture I think lol. A base of level 20 Makes it short and sweet and simple. Because by level 20, you know MOST players have either about finished the game, or have, if you had to go further, then experience of players would maybe be a problem with getting into quest groups etc. Tht's MY take on it however..and I could be wrong, but whatever.

Also, the game's only boring if you get rushed, freebies, etc. like Numa said =) If you do it on your own, *Not saying you didn't* then it IS alot more enjoyable. However, I believe the boredness is slightly setting in, which is why they..DUN DUN DUNNN are coming out with factions, to remedy this plague of a boredom you have, so just sit back and wait till factions comes out, and you'll have something new and fun to enjoy

PvE can be completed in a week or two for 'hardcore' gamers (ie over 60 hours/week), buut.

Back to the OP...

Raising the level cap. Not going to happen, it would totally unbalance everything there is. Also at the low cap, there's much less grinding, which is something I really like compared to killing same mob over and over again just to get some whatever points. Factions is coming out soon, I believe it'll fix pretty many of the problems, but prolly will keep me entertained another month until I move back to on/off playing.

And unlimited attribute points, wth?

Play the game before whining.

First off, your opinions are your own and you should not be giving them out freely. That is your first fault. Secondly, I totally disagree with your theories. If you:
-dont buy gold
-dont get ran
-dont use maps
-and dont just jump through missions, do all the side quests

Next, PVP is extremely fun, and saying that its boring is your personal opinion, which i totally disagree with.

Then you didn't complete the game in a month.
Unless, like someone said, you put in like 60 hours per week. And then you need to get a life instead, not more Guildwars.

i have to say i beat the game no runs with 2 characters in one month and 4 in 2 months. and no i did not recieve any runs on my first 3 characters i did on the last cause i needed a ranger for a pvp spike team/UW Trapping/ and new UW farming. So i rushed that on through

oh yeah before i get bashed for not having a life my wife and i play together so.... yes maybe we need a life but we are happy.

i agre and disagre with many things u guys are saying... however biggest point is yes u will beat the game in bout 1-2months if u play lot...and iv just about beat it i have bout 124 hours on it and iv had a blast...and im looking foward to uw..but after that.... till factions comes out and u got all the skills and points and dont forget bout godly weapons... but after that theres not much till factions comes out which im really looking foward to the new pvp large scale battles and new features.!

Now on the pvp point it helps if u got all the skills and if u have friends to help you... and ya the 4vs4is gay haha! 8vs8 is my fav...but if you dont no what your doing then ya pvp will suck and it may get boring thats about it:P

I just hope I dont get to bored And go Back to World of warcraft...pllzz anet make it last forever haha!

So basically, you want more grind? Time and time again Anet has said they want to reduce the mindless grind. You knew what to expect, now go play WoW.

And if you would read up about Factions you would know that they're gonna add a war between nations there.

rose online.. rofl.. my favorite game ever. anyways!

yes, gw is a bit boring after you do the same thing 4 times on different professions. but all other games are.
gw is purely pvp-getting-uber-l33t-skillbar-for-pwnage-in-pvp, hence GUILD WARS. rofl.
i really like the level cap of 20, because there isn't any 'zomg im higher level than joo r! u r nub! i r pro!' thing going on, that exists in other mmorpg games. however, i would like a little more pvp-action, like a map where you are allowed to pvp anyone, without 'consent' from the person you are about to pvp. because, by coming into the pvp area, you abide by the rule of getting pk`d out of no where. ffs, its a pvp area! haha. anyways..

gw should add some more options, wether its roleplaying districts of a simple pvp arena.

*by pvp arena i mean like an outpost, where it can hold just as many people, but with weapons and skills/killing other players allowed.

So you say you're bored.. I find that hard to believe. So you've beaten every single mission in the game w/ bonus included? You've completed all side quests, acquired all skills, and captured every elite? You've unlocked all secondary professions and their skills for each one of your characters? You've cleared FoW and UW totally? Not knocking you but I'm sure theirs many things that you haven't done yet. If you can't enjoy getting skills and doing other side quests and such maybe this game just isn't for you? Just my 2 cents but I've had this game for about 4 months now, have 6 lvl 20's (two accounts) and am no where near done with everything that I have listed. So I have alot to look forward to still and factions on the horizon? Btw take that into consideration all the things you have/haven't done yet.

i agre guild wars is not a mmorpg its basiclay hmmm a game where u go out with 8 players in ur own private arena and then go to town or outpost aka chat rooms so ya saying this is a mmorpg isn't quite 100% correct...bye the way u wont win that argument so heres a hint... bro dont try..and u your comment about stuff to do ..well ya side qest but there not as angaging i think i spelt that wrong...just different opions however i'v done almost every primary qest and at least 60% of side qests ...and most of them were kinda boring but thats not the point...i see all we need is just some new features and ya that nation thing should be cool battle battle haha...anywho.. weird it may seem but i had more fun in the parts of the game where it was really nice too look at or just looked lively.or seeing new types of enemys yay lightning dragons finaly no more gay spiders... ya i just hate spiders....ya i guees that makes sense...but ya... so u say go back to wow..... see for one thing guild wars has got going for it self... other then the emphasis of pvp is the graphics ...its very goood looking game....some parts are bland but so much is bright and color full and the animations rock!

Play World of Grindcraft. Or Evergrind. Or any other game, that is actually an MMORPG. If you like the PvP there, go gank each other in another world, and leave those who like GW to enjoy their PvP.

I hate MMORPGs, I don't hate GW, hnce GW isn't an MMORPG. I've always disliked bully-land (open PK areas) as it is incredibly repressive to build tinkering for example, and simply a way for kids with more time on their hands (or access to ebay) to lord it over others. Adults with a few hours here and there want a game that isn't about time spent, ad while GW isn't fitting the bill perfectly it does at least try. A bit. Kinda. Well, at least they are reducing grind, I'd rather it was UAS after finishing the game for your classes. Or just UAS.

If you don't like to play Guild Wars, don't.

Guild Wars is NOT made for players who like to grind for 100+ levels, so the level 100+ can gank on the level 20+

It never will be.
